Program Manager

Kourtney Wismont

Kourtney Wismont joins Big Muddy Urban Farm as the Program Manager. They have been an untiring leader in the urban farming community for the past seven years and have been in leadership roles in other non-profits. Their main mission is to grow fresh produce in order to gain food sovereignty in North and South Omaha. Having co-founded Free Farm Syndicate in 2016 with a handful of talented peers, they managed to cultivate and produce thousands of pounds of free fresh organic produce for the community every year. Currently, Kourtney is furthering their expertise in plant and pollinator knowledge by finishing their Biology degree at UNO, as they value and want to teach practices of building biodiversity within urban growing landscapes.
